Route

Car Service from Manhattan to Brooklyn

Whether you head to a dinner reservation, a wedding, or a cruise departure across the East River, we choose your route before the vehicle leaves. With our car service from Manhattan to Brooklyn, one of our chauffeurs meets you at your Midtown hotel or your Financial District office, and we take you to the address on your booking. The distance is short, roughly 7 miles from Midtown to Barclays Center, yet the crossing you take decides how long the trip lasts.

What Happens as We Pick You Up

Your chauffeur’s details reach you by text and email beforehand, and we update you as the car heads your way and again on arrival. After the chauffeur reaches your hotel or office, we wait 15 minutes for you. If a friend joins you at another address, mention it at booking, and we include that stop in your reservation.

Our team answers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can book at any hour, though we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead.

Which Crossing Our Manhattan to Brooklyn Car Service Takes

Four common crossings link the island to the borough, and we choose one based on your starting point, your destination, and live traffic, weather, and GPS data:

  • Brooklyn Bridge: it opened in 1883 and connects City Hall with DUMBO, and the FDR Drive runs up to it along the shoreline.
  • Manhattan Bridge: it carries traffic from Canal Street in Chinatown to Flatbush Avenue Extension in Downtown Brooklyn.
  • Williamsburg Bridge: it leaves the Lower East Side at Delancey Street and lands in Williamsburg.
  • Hugh L. Carey Tunnel: it links Battery Park and Red Hook over 1.7 miles and is the only tolled crossing of the four.

A pick-up in Midtown usually crosses on the Manhattan Bridge or the Williamsburg Bridge, depending on the destination. In light traffic, the drive to Barclays Center takes roughly 25 to 40 minutes, but the BQE (I-278) slows at the evening rush.

Arriving at Your Destination

We drop you at the entrance of your restaurant or venue in DUMBO or Williamsburg. For an evening at Barclays Center, we send our Lincoln Continental for two or three of you and stop near Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue.

For a cruise, we head to the cruise terminal at 72 Bowne Street in Red Hook, on Pier 12, and we bring a Chevrolet Suburban for five passengers and their suitcases.

The Way Back to Midtown

With our car service from Brooklyn to Manhattan, we reserve the return together with the outbound leg, so one reservation covers both. After an event at Barclays Center, the crowd leaves at once, so we suggest leaving a little after the final act, and we select the crossing that suits the traffic then. From DUMBO, the Brooklyn Bridge connects back to the FDR Drive.

A cruise return depends on your itinerary and your ship’s disembarkation window, so share both at booking. From Red Hook, we take the tunnel to Battery Park and continue to your address.

Many returns end at an airport instead of a hotel: LaGuardia sits about 11 miles from the arena and JFK about 12, and we cover the airport leg of the trip too. For a morning flight, you can set your pick-up hour by counting back from your boarding hour, and we plan the crossing around it.
